All my sounds were created for an upcoming motioncomic i created called: madagascar: alex's story. . . I did not create these from scratch, but instead, remixed stock sounds of different soundscapes. And fiddled with their settings until i got a sound i felt satisfied with. I thought the best thing to do with them after the project was done is to share. So, no need to give me credit. I decided to experiment with a metal slinky, with the intention of creating some science-fiction sounds. Here is a string out of what could potentially be used as "laser gun shots". There are a variety of individual shots, and at the latter-half of the clip i attempted to create a cross-fire gun fight. Some editing, including noise reduction may improve what i've done here. *recorded on may 09, 2021 using a sennheiser shotgun mic and a zoom h4n pro (and a shower, of course).

Xy stereo recording from gärdet subway station in stockholm. This focuses on an older trains doors, various steams and similar "heavy" sound elements. In post: edited in pro tools with som bass cutting (eq) and automation to make some sounds stand out but still sound realistic. Put on a light compressor and pich-shifted down some elements to give more depth. This was in someway inspired by "dead space" tram and door sounds but slightly less "massive" and haunting. Ps. There's 2 versions of this recording. The one with "nr" in the title is noise reduced so sounds like the doors and steam are somewhat separated from the background. Hope you like it.

While trying to get my microphone to work, it was having this unusual feed back buzzing pulsing sounds. Along with a strange noise. (this wasn't my voice, and the file hasn't been edited. ). "who's there?" and the "hello's" are of course me, trying to get the microphone to work. I decided to record it after i felt it was strange. Recorded at tea, a museum in santa cruz de tenerife. I was invited by dancer masu fajardo to create some sound ambients for a dance piece she was doing there, we decided to use only the sounds being created by her body and her interactions with the space. Here we can hear her stepping on a floor that's been previously filled up with salt. It's very subtle but works great as sime sort of glitch or crackle, if that's your thing. Sound created from using the rings of saturn as a spectral source to a series of filters. When a 1 pixel high image of the rings is extracted it looks like a spectrogram (original: https://en. Wikipedia. Org/wiki/file:saturn%27s_rings_dark_side_mosaic. Jpg). The ring spectrogram was divided into three color planes, and the color intensity values were transformed into resonant filter cutoff frequencies. In essence one filter unit (per color plane) has 256 sounds playing simultaneously. The individual filters are placed along the x-axis so, that the stereo image consists of 256 steps from left to right. In this sound of the series the spectrum was compressed to a range of 20 - 1000 hz. A small variation in certain divider factor per color plane is introduced for a slight chorus like effect.

This was recorded in the centre of oxford, near the junction between broad street and turl street, on 23rd february 2013. I was facing west along broad street with turl street, and the pavement, to my left. There are many different sounds on this recording including bikes being parked (i was standing near a bike rack) and ridden, cars lurking for a parking space, dropping people off and turning round (broad street has a car park in the middle of it), plenty of different people walking past and talking, and a big issue seller. This is a quick minecraft note block loop (drums only) that i made in multitrack daw mobile (i don't know how i did it in that app, it's so hard to use) with original sounds from the game. A huge ice storm moves in to the back woods of north carolina on 01/30/2014. First it snowed. . . And then it sleeted. When all that sleet froze on the surface of the snow, walking in this winter-wonderland produced an amazing sound. So, i put on my boots, grabbed my zoomh4n and set out to record the magic!. This would be very useful as foley fx for walking in any frozen environment. I walked on various surfaces and depths of ice and snow throughout. Imagine you just landing on an unfamiliar planet, where the local on the planet is just some unpopulated area with a open wide field or jungle. You don't see any one, or anything, but either dust,trees, grass, or a vacant road. While your wondering through this place you also notice that that nightfall is approaching, and you can see the moon and the starts of this planet. This synth patch is just the sound for that, a drone bass synth patch used to create some imaginary audience feel that would lead you or someone to be driven to madness. This patch was made in massive.

This is the second version without the mechanical bolt. Maybe can be used for bolt action rifles. Made this is ableton live, it is multilayered with the top end of a 9mm and the low/mid range of an ak47. Another carbine sound is faded in after the transients to give more sustain. Two reverbs fade in and out creating a smooth transition and blend. A little white noise is added for subtle sheen and air. All the layers were grouped together into a single band compressor and ran through serum fx distortion and then into a krush distortion plugin for added fatness. A blending reverb was used to glue the sounds into the same space and ran into a final transient designer which is adding a little more snap and punch and clipping the excess transients off. Enjoy.

This is a recording of me vacuuming my carpet (a short carpet, not sure of the exact name of it), in a small studio apartment in kansas city, ks. It's recorded with the worst mic possible (a generic labtec microphone you can buy at an office supply store for like 10 bucks). I literally have no idea the vacuum brand, as i searched all over it for a whole minute, to no avail. But who cares the brand, because it sounds cool! (it has "120v~60hz 7amps" if that means anything to you) i am mainly vacuuming up kitty litter from the carpet because my cat likes to make sand castles for hours on end and she likes to think "outside the box" as it may. Oh, and there is an obstacle between the mic and the space i'm vacuuming, it's literally a screen room divider. I recorded this just because i thought it would be cool, plus i'm just starting an associates in audio engineering, so i figured i could get experience doing just about anything. Oh, and the end is my favorite part, just because i like listening to the motor click off and wind down. Ummm. . . Yeah, i think that's about it. Enjoy!.

Hi. This soundfile was recorded on 03. 06. 2017 in szczecin, nw poland (gumience district to be precise). The time of this recording is from around 3 a. M. (when the sun was allready rising) till around 7:30 a. M. What's funny about that, is that i turned my recorder on and layed it on the windowsill (display up) on altitude around 5 meters (first floor), (the recorder is facing ne direction) because the birds were allready going crazy!, and after some time i felt asleep, and the recorder was left on. There are many many kinds of birds around, cause there is a big cementery near by, with lots of trees, and some wild fruit orchard too. I had this one moment, when the birds were so active, that let's say they spinned it me around, and worked me up to a beautifull spiritual moment with their sounds, and then i felt asleep. Later through the recording you can hear me snoring, you can hear my alarm clock going on (and that haven't woken me up too;). The bass resonance of cars passing by makes this recording a bit heavy in some places, and the wind made it's mark too, but that shoudn't be a big of an issue here. As i listen to it now, so much things happened while i was asleep. . . [ 3:30 a. M. !: some people are singing and speaking, and you can clearly hear one of them saying: "kurwa, grubo", which means - "f**k, heavy". Later on, the neighbours weren't sloppy too;). Hearing such recordings doesn't give you the liminous feeling of the place where it was recorded. You only get audio here, not the vision, the light, the brightness, the movement, the actions, and the space, the physical elements, only the best can imagine (so if you don't have such an imagination, pm me and i can send you a photo of the place where all this took place). Anyway, i hope that the birds will keep rockin' their solos, and the bees will keep visiting all the flowers around forever! (who knows, i might become one of them sometime;). What i hear in this sound is a crashing starship as you regain consciousness surrounded by chaos of the crew and emergency systems. At 00:52 there's a really cool explosion hit that fits the starship in danger vibe. Created from roughly 230 sounds in reaper by looping, batch actions and modulated filtering.
